Lock Picking Guide

June 13th, 2007 by chowbow

When you have a lot of time to kill and have nothing to do with it the best thing to do is find a hobby that will take up time but more importantly give you something interesting to do that benefits you in some way. Many hobbies get you in physical shape and still others can work your mind and develop abstract thinking which will help in every facet of your life. The common hobbies are sports and video games and model cars however the more off beat hobbies are more interesting.

One of the most fun and challenging hobbies on earth is available on Lock Picking Guide. Many people will think of Lock Picking as more of a thing that bad people do to help commit crimes, but that is simply not the case. Locks have always been a way to keep people out of things but humans by nature are interested in everything, much as cats are, and feel uncomfortable not knowing things. Locks are synonymous with secrets and since everyone wants to know secrets locks have become the enemy. Defeating the thing that you view as the enemy can be very enjoyable. That is what Lock Picking allows the person to do.

There are a handful of tools and a lot of techniques involved with this hobby and the best part about it is that most of them are relatively inexpensive to buy and can often times actually be made for pennies provided the individual is a somewhat handy with some household tools. If you are searching for a challenging hobby and one that can be done virtually anywhere at any time we strongly recommend looking into lock picking. There will always be more and more advanced tools to work with and locks to work on so the challenge will never end. It can be hard to learn but fun to do. So if your are interested in embarking on Lock Picking, do check out Lock Picking Guide today.

Ever heard

June 10th, 2007 by chowbow

I’ve put up a website where you can learn a little more about me (and discover my true identity I suppose)…

Back from break and back in the swing of things… Ever heard of the saying “that’s a lot to swallow”? In medical terms, a chewed-up ball of food in your mouth is a bolus. Today’s

lecture quote of the day (admitting that what he just said may be over our heads): “I know I’ve just given you a big bolus.”
I see no reason to doubt this. Iran is dedicated to breaking American power in the Middle East and, eventually, seeing West civilization destroyed and replaced with Islamic tyranny. Al

My Addiction: Little Debbie Marshmallow Supremes
wants to stay at home with the babies as much as possible and she’s scared that once she goes back to work she won’t get to see them a lot. But unfortunately they cannot afford

to live on one person’s salary so she’s going to have to go back. But I can totally see how I’d want to stay home with the baby as much as I can. When I was born, my mom got a

whole year of paid maternity leave to take care of me (that’s Europe though, they don’t do that in the US ever.)
Word of the day: bonnyclabber\BAH-nee-klab-er\ noun : sour milk that has been thickened or curdled.

While I like my desserts, I’m typically NOT someone who consumes large quantities of mass produced snack cakes, candies, etc. Now those made at home, I’ll certainly eat my share

of them. However, being here in Bristol, VA, I’ve discovered at the local Food City; Little Debbie Marshmallow Supremes.

So, just another reason why we should consider ourselves at war with Iran…as if we needed more.

Today I went to an on-campus talk by Shimon Peres, former Israeli Prime Minister and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for his role at the Oslo Peace Accords. Outside about twenty

protesters were chanting: “Occupation is a crime, from Iraq to Palestine.” For an octogenarian Peres appeared to be in good health, though a little low-energy. He stood very straight

before the podium and spoke with deliberate assuredness, a credit both to his military background and decades as a politician.

the Second World War

I thought the whole point of guerilla marketing is that it’s a superior, low-cost alternative to paid media?

New Tagline = New Brand? Not So Fast, JC Penney.
February 15th, 2007

The Brains on Fire Blog relays news of JC Penney’s new tagline, “Every Day Matters.”

Apparently, this is another example of how bringing on a new agency often yields a new tagline. Oh, yes, there’s the quote from agency representative about “resonating with consumers.”
A final word on last.fm. From my brief exploration it seems that the site has quite a variety of “expertise” in different styles and genres of music. Typically you find music sites are very top heavy in certain areas and very sparse in others. I was happy to find many users who had similar interests in all of my favorite musical areas. I’m curious to see if you guys find that to be the case as well. Anyway, you can view my music profile at

I remember, today, my uncle who died in his ancestral homeland of Belgium, during the Second World War, fighting to free them from the grip of Hitler’s troops. He is buried in Europe… somewhere. I think of all the cousins who fought in all the wars since the War Between the States forward. And, I think of my Great Grandfather, who fought in the 17th Regiment of South Carolina Infantry, Company “I”, along with a slew of great uncles, cousins and such. Some of them never made it back home to their loved ones.

That’s what this day is about. Remembering them, and remembering that freedom is not free. We pay for it. We pay for it in blood. But, it is so precious… millions of Americans have willingly lain down their lives to secure it for the generations yet unborn.

Admittedly I’ve been slack on the Friday game thing but have no fear I’m back once again with a killer flash game. If your a fan of the Discovery Channel show Deadliest Catch then you’ll immediately recognize the premise of this one. The objective is to catch as many crab as possible in a limited amount of time. To do this you’ll need to buy a boat, outfit it and hire a crew. Sounds simple but you’ll need just the right mix of equipment, men and knowhow if you want to be successful.
Deadliest Catch
Is it a new day at JC Penney? I don’t think so. Spike Jones at Brains on Fire testifies:

“A rallying cry is great. But a remarkable experience is even better. It transcends tag lines and advertising. (And when you have a great name, you might not even need a tagline because your name says it all.)

“Creating a new tagline won’t change anything. Try starting with the culture. The experience. The people inside your company.”

agent positions

June 3rd, 2007 by chowbow

International Herald Tribune reports Canada is gaining favour as an outsourcing partner due to its stability, proximity and cultural similarities. Some are refer to this as ‘nearshoring’ or ‘remote contracting’.

“Companies are willing to pay a premium for a destination that is close to home. The customer on the end of the phone will be able to relate much better to a representative in Canada than one in the Philippines.”

Best estimated that Canada had 26,300 call-center “agent positions,” or work stations, serving the United States. The actual number of workers is probably much higher, since each position is basically a phone line and a cubicle. At some call centers, three employees working separate shifts will staff a single phone during each 24-hour period. The figure, however, looks almost insignificant when compared to the 2.85 million call-agent posts that remain in the United States.
This fun tool comes courtesy of Visual-Literacy.org, an e-learning site educating visitors about “a critical, but often neglected skill for business, communication, and engineering students, namely visual literacy, or the ability to evaluate, apply, or create conceptual visual representations.”

“Verdict on American Lawyers”: ADR and collaborative law missing from one-sided depiction of lawyers and justice

Negative attack on lawyers overlooks changing legal professionAmerican lawyers by now may be inured to media attacks on the legal profession. We expect it from Fox News. But this week lawyers drew fire from an unexpected source: a National Public Radio broadcast.

On Point, a week-day radio news magazine produced by NPR member station WBUR in Boston, broadcast a show this week titled “Verdict on American Lawyers”. From the show’s description:

Europeans Working for India Outsourcers
BBC News reports entry and mid-level employees are being recruited from European countries to work in India.

“Prashant Sahni, chief executive officer of Tecnovate, says the way it works is simple. ‘We hire people from various parts of Europe to work for us on Indian salaries and it’s been very successful.’”

“Mr Sahni says the European employees are recruited for a minimum period of a year, but many extend their stay. And although the employees are paid local salaries, they receive other compensation in the form of free housing, a furnishing allowance and subsidised meals.”

Larry Coker

June 3rd, 2007 by chowbow

Did Coker Deserve Getting The Hook?

Larry Coker, who was of last week; the coach for the University of Miami Hurricanes and was there from 2001 – 2006, put up a good record despite All of the things that had happen during the course of the season.

Some would say 6-5 is not that bad of a record, giving what the hurricanes had gone threw. And rightfully so they are right, but it’s the University of Miami and even with all the problems that is unacceptable with the school.

But in my mind the problems started, way back during that embarrassing lost against the tigers of LSU (Louisiana State University).in the peach bowl 40 to 3 because after that game, Larry Coker made assistance coaching changes mainly because if he had not he would have been fired.

So Coker knew coming into this season, that it was a make or break year for his tenure as their football coach at Miami. And as it turn out the season was one of the worst in the past decade in the school football program history.

Did he know there where going to be a brawl with FIU (Florida International University) no, but has a coach you have to have control of your football team.

Even if FIU started it from the get go and as a result he got fired, for not only for the brawl but because he lost total control of his football team during the course of the season.
